A headstart on 2021 – what a year 2020 was. We got hammered by a few waves for sure!

Many of my landscapes are ideas or scenes I come across on our breaks, daytrips or holidays. We only got away twice this in 2020 due to the lockdowns and this was from one day over in Dorset when we escaped. Interesting little bay where massive numbers of fossils can be found as they break off the cliffs. Kids loved the fossicking although we arrived pretty much on high tide and the waves were just like this – pounding in at our feet in places.

The Kimmeridge Bay painting started out as just the waves but adding the distinct local rocks really helped identify where it is
